Excellent place. Quick and easy bike rentals and shuttle up to the top. The trail is gorgeous and very easy to bike down. Owners helped us find the right bike for all four of us in the family, adjusted seats as needed, provided water and helmets, and we were off and running.
I suggest bringing a small backpack with a picnic lunch or snack breaks. If I do it again I may even bring a small fly rod and cast along Laurel Creek.

This was my first time doing the VCT. I really didn’t know what to expect. They were talked me through the trail, told me great places to stop and fit me for a bike. The bottled water they handed out came in REAL handy!
I would definitely use them again!

This is a beautiful trail. We had a lot of fun! Just wanted to give a couple heads up for riders. We rented bikes/trailers from Sun Down. They were great, friendly staff, lots of items to purchase in the gift shop there. Shuttle ride was nice with a friendly driver and a clean bus.
There are several places on the trail to stop and have lunch or just take in the beautiful scenery. I would most definitely recommend packing a lunch/snack and lots of drinks. We went on a Monday in June, and none of the stops were open. I’m not sure if they are only open on the weekends or not, but I recommend you be prepared with food/drinks. If you have a little one that needs the trailer, I would also recommend a towel/rolled up shirt/light pillow, something to cushion on the back/butt area. My son was crying and did have a red spot on his lower back. This is a pretty easy trail and is mostly down hill and shady in the woods. Would 100% recommend!!

Frequent shuttles that run on time.
Less than 100 yards from the trail.
